Hello from Wisconsin

Postby MrIndy77 » Wed Jun 22, 2016 3:47 pm

As I searched the net for 1/43 cars I ran across this site. I have been building 43rd scale since the late 80's, unfortunately, my passion for building cars turned into selling my handbuilts, hence my collection is rather small...for the time being. As my clients have moved on or passed away I have know found time to build for myself again. My interests include Indy 500, Can am and Bugatti. I was a member of the MBA (Miniature Bugattistes Association) for as long as it was around. We would meet in Chicago once year in conjunction with the now defunct Strictly 43rd show. It was one to look forward to each year as I had many built ups to deliver and sell.
I had started my own line of 4rd Indy cars with the first offering the much loved 1956 Novi Vespa Spl driven by Paul Russo. I created a master, cast copies, made the decals, built 33 built ups and sold them via the shows and internet. I will post pics in the other categories.
I built many commissioned pieces for collectors and I will try and find pics to post.
Looking forward to seeing all of the great handbuilts.

Welcome, Cal. It sounds like your are a very talented builder. I have no building skills at all.

We look forward to seeing your creations!

Hi Cal, welcome to S143. You are speaking my language with the Indy 500 and Can Am cars. Can't wait to see your work.
BTW, I work for a company based in Green Bay

Welcome Cal.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of those Bugatti's. I'm wondering if you have any Le Mans's Bugatti's.......they were a regular entrant at Le Mans from 1930 to 1939, but so far the diecast and resin makers have only produced the two winning cars from 1937 and 1939. It would be great to see some of the earlier cars.

Welcome to the forum Cal
Andy

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Welcome Cal. Model builders are to be commended. I would love to learn the skills necessary but time and inexperience are against me. So will look forward to seeing your creations Cal.
