Hi from northern Germany

Post by Quattro-King » Fri Mar 21, 2014 5:15 pm

Hi there!

My name is Nils, I am from Scheessel. That´s in northern Germany, near Hamburg. I am 37 years old, and re-started collecting model cars and building nearly two years ago, after a bigger out-time of this hobby...

Found your forum in the internet. Looked very interesting so that I decided to do the registration here... ;-)

I am a big fan of sports cars and motorsports, especially Rally, GT Series, Old- and yougtimer Races, and DTM. My hobby no. one is not my collection of model cars, but my 2000 Audi S6 4.2 Avant in scale 1/1, one of only a few built with the manual 6-speed transmission instead of the weak tiptronic automatic transmission; and with the Shadow Line package with neary full options. Such a car is very funny, but you will have to do a lot of work to keep it in good shape. Going to Festivals and collection model cars in scale 1/43 are the other hobbies.

And I have a little Honda Monkey Replica, in which I changed the engine from the 50 ccm to a bigger 125 ccm one, with a bigger carburetor, and a sports exhaust system. It now has nearly 11 HP, not bad for 65 kg.

If you are interested, I will upload a few pictures of the Audi and the Monkey - and of course of my collection of 1/43 models in the next time, there are a few rare items in my collection...

Have a nice weekend all!

Welcome to the forum Nils.

We are interested of course in pictures

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Hi Nils and welcome. You should fit in here very easily with your themes. I'd like to see a few pictures of your Audi as it sounds superb. I'm very much a Touring car fan/collector and I also like the GT racers as well.
I look forward to seeing your collection :D
