YATMING:
- Oldsmobile Toronado 1966 in metallic gold

KNIGHT RIDER MODELS:
- ERTL Joyride KITT, purchased in 2004:
Image
I covered the orange foglamps with black electrical tape almost immediatly when the model arrived, also made the turnsignal covers from clear plastic tape both sides next to the scanner opening.
Later I did other modifications too, such as painted the Turbocast rims between spokes black,
painted the trunk in tan colour etc. small details.
Then in summer 2006 the model got damaged during outdoor photographing session. The front nose
received big scratches so I took the model apart for easier repair and while at it I made some bigger changes to it. For instance the foglight openings I cutted the pillars between the original foglights to make one wide opening per side as the series car had etc.
Here's pics of the model after it was completed:

- Purchased also another ERTL Joyride KITT model in 2007, it had all clear foglamps:

By the way, ERTL Joyride KITT and KARR models were sold out until now Janyary 15th 2009 it's going to be released again. From the pics at ebay it seems to have all clear foglights but they have more depth than the one I have.

- ERTL Joyride KARR, did some modifications for this model too but not as big changes as for KITT:

Motorbikes:
- Yamaha XV1000 Virago motorbike by Motormax. Not photographed yet.
- Honda CB750 motorbike with "Joe Bar Team" figurine by Solido:

I agree about the Toronado, it's really nice model for it's price. Yatming have improved since the Fiero I got years ago, wish they'd update the Fiero and put opening headlights & realistic doorhinges in it too :)

Do you like the Fiero?
My Dad had a Fiero GT in white that I used more than he did as he didn't keep it at his house.
A good buddy of mine ended up buying it from him.

Yes I do, it's nice looking car and I think the model is also ok for the price at the time I bought it (2005).

I actually like the M/C Sierra, I have 4 of them in racing colors. It's a good model and cheaper than Aa.

Over three years since last 1/18 addition, today arrived Hotwheels Elite KITT from Knight Rider. Had to have it as it's so much better than the old 2004 released ERTL KITT, for example HW has popup headlights, realistic door hinges, better rear window and tail light cover designs, better scanner electronics, etc., of course it's also more expensive but so are other 18th scale models too.

Man, that is sweet! I have not seen too many detailed pictures of the car. I have really being eyeing that car and I am glad it is a upgrade compared to the Ertl version. I just need to get over the sticker shock.....LOL I have old Ertl version and I need to start saving money for this one. I also would like to get the A-Team van too.

I forgot to mention your collection is really impressive. I have enjoyed your posts.

The infamous K.A.R.R, you kindly explained earlier to me what it was in relation to K.I.T.T, I must have missed that episode/s it was featured in. Looks great and just the right addition for your collection. :)

Nothing new in my 18th scale collection but took a groupshot or a "family" pics of my 18th scale Fords:

Sunstar claims it's the Euro Escort but the engine is actually the Brazilian Escort 1,6 CHT while the real Euro Escort had CVH engines.

Brazilian Escorts were imported in Europe for a while, here in Finland too and they were called the Escort LX.

I quite like the Escort, Sunstar's managed to get the proportions right IMO. You should see their 1:18 Audi quattro, much less well-made in every respect. The Escort is nicely detailed too, shame about the engine error.
