It does look pretty good, even with their Second attempt at making a Bentley grille which still is not quite right, but far better than their First attempt...

...wonder what pictures they were using for reference!

Next up is another BMW Dealer Edition from the Heritage Collection. Didn't previously have a BMW 328 in my collection so this was most welcome.

Aerial Atom and DTM BMW's are all ace. I love the Shell livery the best and thought it was cool from the first moment I seen it. I'm with Andy on a 1:43 Atom.

328 is a legendary car and a beautiful shape. The model capures it perfectly and this is the best colour for it. Superb.

Another BMW Dealer Edition from the Heritage Collection......the BMW 507.

Absolutely love the black with the red interior......I think it's a beautiful model.

 wow B12 is really nice! A guy in a small town where I deliver to has an 840 (I think it is an 840 anyway) and it is in mint condition and I think hes had it since new, they recently got rid of their other old BMW 5 series and got a new 2016/7 5 series touring.

Might need to try hunt down one of these to add to my collection some day as it is such an iconic car in so many different ways 8-)

Minichamps Ford Focus ST ......picked this one up as it was as cheap as chips! The model itself is surprisingly good, though not worth the £100 RRP.

You're on a winning streak Simon 8-) Every one is lovely but the standout must be that Otto 8 Series Alpina! That has become one of my cost no object 1:1 dream cars. The resin version will have to suffice, and that's not a bad trade off :D BB

Thanks.....still got another 5 to post!

Always fancied having a 1:1 V12 BMW 850 myself.....just as a little plaything to take for an occasional spin on a sunny Sunday.

The Otto 850 in red is a really nice model too, though I do prefer the Alpina.

The 1:1s have been cheap as chips too as they are so fiendishly expensive to run and maintain. Even BMW dealerships don't take them in p/x.
Alpina version must be even more petrifying for them. As you say Simon, it's a no expense spared job.

The non-Alpina cars seem to be on the upswing in the States. I've even seen/heard of some our better examples being shipped back to Europe while the USA has recently seen more than a few Alpina of all flavors coming into the US, mostly from Japan.

So true about their mechanical reputation, scary stuff new and I can only imagine today :?

I suppose a financially safer option would be the car's precursor? Perhaps something that folks like myself with far-less than engineer level wrenching skill might be able to work on?

Sorry to hi-jack Simon, but you're just adding fuel to the fire for people that love these cars. BB
