Stu's 1:18 collection & latest purchases

Post by Stu935 » Sun Oct 07, 2012 12:02 pm

Thought I'd share my 1:18 collection to date. It's only small at the moment and focuses mainly on race cars of the 80s to modern day, mainly from the Le Mans series. Due to the size of 1:18 cars and limited space, I don't buy too many and have a few stored away and not on display. My intention is to still buy the odd 1:18 model but focus more on 1:43. I'll update this thread as I add something new to my collection

They look good and I like them all. Do you have any close up shots of the Red Bull Porsche on top of the cabinet?

unfortunately i don't have any games for the PS3, I use it only as a Blu-ray player. I do play (badly) Forza 4 on the Xbox360 though

Unfortunately the model comes in Sparks standard styrene container with outer cardboard box. Not the split presentation box some of the Spark 1:18 models come in.

Thought I'd take some photos of my Autoart Blancpain Lamborghini Gallardo. After seeing the black and white together I decided to go with the white version. This was purely because I felt the some of the cars detail and sharp edges of the body work were loast a little in the black version.

Some great details on that Lambo. Very good model and I enjoyed watching the real thing racing.

Very nice line up in that cabinet, lots of nice liveries. I am not to experienced in LM but suspect they are all LM racers?

2 of them are especially nice ;) all my 1/18 are on display, the few I have of them..

yeah, most of them are cars that raced at LM. One or two are from other race series, but the same model of the car has raced at LM such as the Sauber/Mercedes C9. I'll swap these out at some point with the LM racer to keep the display purely LM racers.

my latest (although a few weeks old now) purchase, it's the #33 Jaguar XKR GT3 2008 by Minichamps. It's a sealed model but can be picked up at a good price and is an interesting model.

I would go one further and say very nice! I actually quite like the slightly plain livery, perhaps more than the black and green version as per the 1/43 Spark model.
