Finally got my long awaited model after seeing pics of it displayed at the Nuremberg toy fair this year. And it is my 1st OTTO model and I must say I am really pleased with it and I absolutely love the colour which the camera just DOES NOT!! pick up properly in all its glory, the camera has done a good job but still nothing compared to how it looks in hand in natural light :D

Cant wait to now get my next OTTO which has been on order already for a while now ;)

...enough talk and time for some pics.

Congratulations on getting one Alistair. It's a very fine model indeed

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Thanks Andy, it sure is. I never realised before that these were also numbered editions, of which this is #1683/3000

I am also thinking about this model but priority no. 1 is a Vantage V12 at the moment.

Todays arrival and a very welcome addition to my 'M' collection :D unfortunately it does have a paint issue on the bonnet which I will probably have to get looked into re a partial refund from OTTO or something  otherwise it is a great addition.

I spotted the blemish as soon as I opened the protective wrapping on the model, it goes all the way to the washer jet and is kind of rectangular shaped

Love the E39 M5 Alistair.

Sorry to hear about the paint issue......always a bit of a risk with Otto, though they do in general seem to be getting better.

I've the dark blue version, but have been tempted to get this one too.

Nice model.

Otto do have a habit paint blemishes, which i think is a consequence of the perfect paint finish making any any imprefection magnified.

You should drop the supplier and e-mail and pics and see what they can do

I don't like many BMWs but this one is one that I do. Easily in my top 5.

Without doubt (well in my mind anyway) one of the finest 1:18's ever!

Very nice mate. One of the best 1/18s out there

Is the valve somewhere in the case or box? Tiny little piece likely to come loose and wedge iteslf somewhere

Right I got three new additions for this thread recently. One was the replacement of the Blue M5 from OTTO and tyhis one is more to my liking  so wont bore you with pics of it as it's been seen before a few times ;)
But here are the other two one is an 18 scale and the other is my very first 12 scale.

SLS Roadster red (1:18)
Image

Mini Cooper (1:12) limited edition of 500 of which this is apparently #404
Image

As I already said this is my very 1st 12 scale model and I was actually speechless for a little while after removing it from its packaging for the photos and it is just an unbelievable model, everything about it is perfect, just wish my pics could do this car justice. So SO happy to have this finally after many years of waiting

The SLS suits not having a roof more so than having one (unless it has a rear spoiler). Now that's what I call a Mini, the one and only Mini in my eyes. 8-)
