Well this next beauty has already been seen a couple of times in much better looking photos too I might add, so I will just add these two pics to my thread. I think this model is AMAZING, a bit of me is sad that it is a sealed model but considering how great it actually is and the price that it was I will let it go

...oh and the base is just a thing of pure gorgeousness. Now I REALLY cant wait till my 1M eventually arrives to eventually be displayed olongside this and my red M3 as my only three M series in 18 scale road going cars.

Just LOVE this thing :P mines is # 583/3000
Especially after the BS I got from BMW when trying to get a 43rd version and eventually not getting one for their rubbish reasons

Excellent addition. It's a very fine model indeed

...finally my long awaited 18 scale version of this car has arrived and it is amazing in hand and photos do not do it any justice at all, AT ALL!! It seems to change colour in differing light as well which makes it very hard to photograph properly.
Simon you will LOVE it!

Looks like a different colour again in your shots. A great model

Thanks Jeff.
The 1 Series Coupe is my preferred version of the whole 1 Series line and this version in 1M guise is the cream of the crop. If any manufacturers end up making more of these in the white and the black then it will be a case of ...yes I have to complete the line-up, so I will just HAVE to get them  (especially if it comes in white with black wheels  )

Yeah, like I thought when I was at the Museum and saw the one on your table and as I said in my initial post here that I really find it seems to change colour depending on the light situation at the time. One of the very few cars (models) I can recall ever doing that.

Looks stunning Alistair.......can't wait to pick mine up. Valencia Orange is my preferred colour of the 3 colours that were produced as 1:1.

I've ordered the black version too, which is a limited edition of 500 (I think) made for 3 diecast companies. Hoping that might arrive soon.

And if a white one ever appears I'll end up snapping up one of those too.

Don't know if you ended up going for a black 1M as well, but mine turned up yesterday and it's GORGEOUS.

And to top things off, GT Spirit have announced they are releasing it in white too.....though currently it also includes some less than attractive stripes!

The white will look great especially if they put black wheels on it

OK so this now means that I am going to have to get the black version...

...stripes? will have to see them to decide, I mean if they are the 'M' coloured stripes in a thin stripe it might look ok.

...have been thinking the same thing

Someone I know (not personally) traded their tuned White 1M in for a new Grey M4, think hes mad

Hmm I'm not sure he's mad as the M4 is a bloody good looking car. A properly aggressive look to it. It did win the DTM this season ;)

Well its been a while since I last added something to this thread  ...anyway here is todays arrival and it's a cracker at that and I was a bit worried about how the graphics on the car would look in hand BUT I really like it as it is. Now think I have to go source the final piece to complete the trio now

Great new addition Alistair.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago, but the first thing I did (with a little help from a friend) was remove the stripes. Personally I much prefer it without.

Hope you manage to get a black one now.

Both looking good mate. 8-)

I helped Simon take the stripes off. T-cut and fingernails to the fore

Not posted pics of the white 1M yet......I'm a bit behind on posting at the moment. I'll make it the next 1:18 I post though.

That was an unusual way to spend an evening, but you know how much I liked it after it was de-stickered.......a job well worth doing.

I remember you two talking about the possibility of removing said decals and contemplating on how to go about removing them, sounds like it was a successful adventure then
