Anyone remember Mibike models?

Post by Guildman » Sat Feb 26, 2011 3:22 pm

Hi,
a good few years ago I sold my small range of masters of 1/32nd scale motorbikes to a big mean looking biker from Southampton way and he carried on producing the kits for which I made some more masters. Then we lost touch.
Does anyone know of what happened to the company. They were unique, so whatever he may have called the company/range they'd still be my original models. There was a Manx Norton, Greeves Challenger, Triumph Speed Twin, BSA A10 (I think) and a Lambretta.
All were on a cast base and had suitable rider figures.

I'd love to know what happened to them.

Cheers,
Martin

Mbike has recently been disposing of the last of the Lambretta castings and some castings for a Lawrence of Arabia Brough Superior through Ebay. No mention of the Manx or the Greeves though.
I had a Greeves left which I put on Ebay about 5 years ago and it fetched good money as they are much sought after by owners club members. There are a good few locally as the old factory is only a few minutes drive away.

Hmmm,
maybe I should revamp the castings I have into masters again?

Thanks Lambert, any idea of he guy's name? I can't remember it. He came from Southampton somewhere.
Was it Allan somebody?.
Hopeless with names.

Cheers,
Martin

Well, the company name's similar, but I wonder if it's the same guy as the fellow I met wouldn't have been interested in the modern stuff.
I did the Lambretta master for him.

Pity he isn't doing the others I did, Manx, Greaves, BSA, Triumph.
I also did the Brough Superior and Harley for SAMS, but he seems to be doing car valeting these days!

Cheers,
Martin
