To show the size of the beast a 707 is parked alongside.

Boeing 707-320 by AeroClassics 1/400

This 'plane reminds me of my time in Zambia. I never flew on it, preferring the VC10s of BOAC & British United or Alitalia DC8 for my trips back to the UK. However, I saw it many, many times at Lusaka airport. This lease aircraft had continuous mechanical problems. Another reason not to fly on it !

The model is very hard to find.

Julio has appeared in 1/43 guise. Yet to see him in 1/400. It'll be the moustache and Mexican flag that will give him away.

Just noticed that inboard engine on the 380 looks a typical Qantas effort.
Like the other recent arrivals.

Next to Concorde the VC10 is one of my favourite aircraft shapes. Shame it was too late in the day and got swamped by the 707. Nice model David.

Very nice! As a kid, I used to have a very small scale model of a VC10, if I'm not mistaken in BOAC livery.

Most likely Tom.
This BUA plane was the first jetliner I flew. London Gatwick to Ndola Zambia.
