thanks Douglas, i translated the page and in the description it mentions decal chipping, something about manufacture defect on the paint? So not overly keen on this one. I suppose having not used Yahoo Japan before I'm not comfortable buying off the site as there's the language barrier and communication with sellers could become difficult. But thanks again, i appreciate the help.

Yahoo! Japan is not ideal but sometimes it's the only option.

It's worth keeping an eye on Boost Gear's second hand HPI section (http://minicar-fs.jp/shopbrand/hpi_old). They add some HPI models every week and anywhere from 5 - 10+ models from various manufacturers every week day (http://minicar-fs.jp/shopbrand/arrival-old/page1/order/). If you're outside of Japan you pay the second price you see in the listing (the cheaper one).

I have this one but never noticed the problems mentioned above. I guess I should take a closer look. It's a fantastic looking model.

Interesting to hear your comments on this model. For some years now I have been putting aside models collected for a future Derek Bell display and came across one of these at Paris Retromobile about 4 or 5 years ago. I wasn't particularly looking at the time but it caught my eye sitting right on the bottom corner of a trade stand display unit. I'd only been at the show 5 minutes as well! At first I couldn't believe it but soon realised action was required before someone beat me to it. At the time it was a highish price (always to be expected at Paris Retro) but knowing how scarce these are I bought it. It is one of those models "I'm so glad I did". I'm always on the look out for another so will keep my eyes peeled for you. I will be in Paris again in Feb. Who knows lightning might strike twice!

Thanks. 100 euros would be OK for that.

I was desperately seeking a model for over a year and found it at the 2015 24h Le Mans race

Anybody know where to buy this model:

Spark S3466 Porsche 910 car #39 from 1967 24 hours of Le Mans

There is one on ebay for quite a high price and the shipping cost is enormous as well + I'd have to pay a lot of tax on it.

Not sure where you are based but £32 + postage any use? Never bought from this mob before but have found buying from the eastern block is often the only way i can source sold out Spark models.

A long, long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away), Vitesse released a Renault Estafette van with a Firestone livery.

Image

It's a relatively crude model, but I thought it would look nice parked alongside my Maserati transporter as per the period picture below from 1962.

I've been looking for one of these on eBay for over a year. I figured it might be the sort of thing that turns up at a swapmeet or similar.

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Wouldn't it be easier to find a red or white one and spray accordingly?
You'll need code 3 decals for the doors etc.

Thanks for adding the image David. I could try respraying a more common version, but I don't think they've done a white version and while there are a few red ones, spraying white over red might not be that successful. A full repaint is probably required.

I wasn't going to bother with the door decals since I don't know what they say anyway.

Unfortunately Idon;t have the code, but understand it was a "Limited Edition" of 1,500 pieces.

This is all enjoyable stuff guys with added satisfaction when a model has been found!
Because of it, I began to wonder if people could assist with a model I have been searching for to enable me to complete my LM 2000 gird.
Produced by a French company called JPS as a kit with a model ref of J224, I’m looking for the Debora BMW #30 as per the pictures.

I think I found one on a Japanese website but never having learnt the lingo wasn't sure it was for sale or just having been built! Rather nice model don't you think?
