BRITISH SPORTING CARS IN MINIATURE

Post by David Wright » Wed May 27, 2015 7:40 am

My new book on models of British Sporting Cars is now well on the way, and will be launched at the Sandown Park Toy Fair on 14th November 2015. It will have over 1000 images, covering some 82 marques of British sporting cars, some well known models, some more obscure, and some unique!
I've had the assistance of a number of keen British car collectors from around the world, and I do believe that it is a pretty exhaustive listing of the marques for which models exist - (Until someone says different!) If anyone wants further information or for advance order enquiries, please email on david@transportmodellingbooks.co.uk

David, just out of curiosity, why do you call them 'Sporting cars' rather than 'Sports cars' ? I appreciate Australian tend to bastardise the English language, but they've always been 'Sports cars' to me. The collective wisdom of the internet would seem to agree.

If you Google "British sporting cars" you get 857 results.

If you Google "British sports cars" you get 291,000 results

Does the book cover road cars, race cars or both ?

Shouldn’t this be under trading?
