Spark DB4 Volante colour looks similar to that used on the Zagato Centenary Coupe one off, only that had a nice blue interior.

Let's hope these are TBA's because Spark are gambling on win for Ricciardo sometime during the season :D .

I would have thought they would have also deferred announcing the Valtteri Bottas models on the assumption he'll take his first F1 win this season as well.

I think that you're right Ian. Last year Spark initially listed about half of their 2016 F1 releases as race "To Be Confirmed", in the hope that the particular driver would put in a good performance later in the season, but not so with Ricciardo. He finished 4th in the 2016 Australian GP, so that was the version they modelled.

Strangely, Ricciardo's Red Bull is the only TBC on this year's list. Spark seems to be happy with a mediocre performances of some drivers in the first three Grand Prix of the season, so that is what we are going to get!

Hm, I really hoped that 2017 will be the year that Spark will release a Mosler MT900 race car - I miss it for years, or what do you think, guys?

Spark would be the perfect manufacturer for such an item... ;)

I'd vote for that. I have a rear wheel off the Mosler MT900 that raced in the Dubai 24 Hours that is now a coffee table in my study.

Nah, they wrecked the car, so were pulling it to pieces in the pit garage. I could have had the front nose pieces as well. It would have looked great on my study wall, but getting it home was the problem :

Hehe, cool... 8-)

Don´t know why none of the manufacturers (Spark, IXO, or someone else) did make a Mosler until now - yo get almost every GT race car of the last 20 years, incl. Saleen, Lister, ... - but not the Mosler.

Perhaps it is because Mosler is a defunct company, and therefore Spark cannot obtain permission to model the car? Or maybe, because Mosler was an American manufacturer, TSM would be more likely to model the car?
Is there a particular version / team / race that you would like to see modelled? I'm happy to ask Spark, and report back to the Forum with their answer.

Wow, that would be cool, thanks... :D

Hm, version - I don´t know, perhaps one of the cars that were driven in the 24H of Spa in 2003/2004, from the Perspective or Rollcentre Teams? These were two different designs, one in black/orange, and one in white/blue...

I used to know someone who had a Noble M12 GTO (which is my all time favourite road car and sadly never modelled (although I hope Automodelli might come good)), who then sold it for a Mosler road car. A fearsome beast.

Hey, John. Is it okay for you to ask them about the 1975 Hesketh 308 models on their catalogue? And do youo know why they didn't release the 2017 catalogue yet on their website?

Yeah, I sure hope that they will release the 1967 Shelby GT500 Eleanor too! I remembered seeing that in their catalog some time ago but the plan seemed to be abandoned.

Cheers,
Adam

That was a very accurate prediction Ian. Spark originally announced that they were to release 1:43rd & 1:18th models (S5031 & 18S301) of the Valtteri Bottas Mercedes that finished 3rd in the 2017 Bahrain Grand Prix. However after Bottas's surprise maiden victory in the Russian GP, they have now decided to release this version...

Not sure if this is still news and maybe lots of you already have it on preorder, but this is supposed to be released somewhere end of june:
Image
It looks good on the picture and very nice that they included the tape on the bumper, but I hope that they will also apply a decal on the windscreen of the final model. I do expect some of you are looking forward to this ;)

I also found this weekend that Spark announced nine cars from the FIA GT world cup. 43MC16 for Vanthoor's Audi and SA110 to SA118 (except SA117) for some other cars, but I wonder if anybody could be interested in these, given the ending of the event. Would any of you buy (one of these) models?

A prototype of the Jagermeister 934 was shown at the Shizuoka Hobby Show. You can find it in the 'Romu-Romu' link, or click below (the image is too large to post here) :

This one's been announced for a while (it was in the 2016 Spark catalogue, so was announced prior to the Premium X version being released).

You got your wish Ian. It's not exactly a winning car, but Spark has now finialised which Ricciardo version they are going to release...

S5036 : Red Bull Racing #3, TAG Heuer RB13, Spanish Grand Prix 2017 (Daniel Ricciardo - 3rd)
18S304 : Red Bull Racing #3, TAG Heuer RB13, Spanish Grand Prix 2017 (Daniel Ricciardo - 3rd)

Looks like they couldn't wait for a winning performance, so have settled for this 3rd place car.
