I've changed my mind on Eleanor. Something looked off with the pictures, so I checked the film to see it and I was right. It's got quite a few faults that will stop me from buying it I'm afraid. Back end is wrong, fuel cap in the wrong place, wheels not dark enough, sitting too high up, missing GT500 from the black stripe, wing mirrors are way too big. Those are just the faults you can see from the side view, but you get the picture. It's a shame as I'd have bought one for sure if it had been better/closer to the original car. :(

MacGuyvers Jeep looks pretty cool too, was a great show keeping me amused as a kid all those many moons ago
I'd like to see a manufacturer make the Fall Guys GMC pick up

It seems like it came from the same mould as the one issued by Yat Ming Signature Series some time ago. The model car looks a bit too fat, the real Eleanor looks a bit more slender.

Cheers,

Regarding the earlier discussion of '70's custom vans, here are two vans that I would like to see Greenlight consider. The Pinto Cruising Wagon and Econoline Cruising Van. These were Ford's attempt at "factory custom" vans for the late Seventies youth market.

It seems that I am caught up on my 1:43 promotional Fords by Greenlight.

So what is next? 2014 Fiesta? 2015 Focus? 2015 Mustang? How about a Wagon version of the Transit Connect?

Are these models commissioned as promotional models by Ford or are they primarily produced for collectors? I've noticed that Greenlight only produces 1:43 die-cast of Ford models that are sold on both sides of the Atlantic.

I'm waiting for one of those retro vans, Chevy or Ford would be good. I do have one of the new ones in white but I'm still waiting for an inspiration as to what to do to it. That Ford lineup looks great.

Good questions,

Usually there is an event tied to this, perhaps the vehicle launch appearance or something similar. It varies model by model how we develop the program. What's next, I'm working on it now but the paperwork isn't finished so I'll have to refrain from saying at the moment. Sorry, more news to come.

Thanks,

Matt

I had just received an email from Greenlight. The release date for this model is now November. I know a lot of people are waiting for this model and I probably will get one too for myself eventually.

Much better as a car that sits on the end of the shelf at a drugstore than something for adult collectors I'm afraid.
