Lovely Cossy Andy....still need this one
Porsche......Evolution , not Revolution

Ask a Porsche enthusiast about the 996, you'll get this look, as if you're in the middle of a Mopar meet, and you just went up to some Dodge-loving, Barracuda-driving, Hemi-obsessed redneck and asked what he thinks about the PT Cruiser.

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Nice collection Reeft1. I especially like the early models, I hope to ad the 1953 Monte Carlo winning Zephyr to my collection someday. Did you add the window trim?

These models and pics are inducing some nostalgia for me. Exciting as the mildly modded rally cars of the late 50s/early 60s were it was really the BMC Minis winning at Monte Carlo which raised the rallying profile big time for the 'man in the street'. It was interesting to personally witness Jim Clark and Graham Hill at a night time service stop at the Severn Bridge in 1966. Clark driving Lotus Cortina on the RAC Rally drew quite a big crowd of spectators. Hill was at the wheel of a Mini Cooper. The Scandinavian drivers of the time were also a treat to watch. The last rally I saw at the finish was the Circuit of Ireland in the late 1970s.

As far as the 1:43s go I love the wild excess of the high rear spoilered 4wd Escort RS Cossie.
