Thanks Johann, I am drawn to the idea of looking out from an inside vantage point to something larger.

It seems that I've gone all summer without creating any new dioramas. Here is a small one I did recently, inspired by a photo posted on the Facebook page of the Dutch company Classic Ford Parts.

Thanks.

I've always found Aussie vehicles interesting and have learned a lot about them over the years. With my 1:43 collection I am trying to assemble a group of Fords from as many countries and eras as possible. Basically an international Ford museum in miniature.

I'm a long time Neil Young fan and I read both of his memoirs last winter. The cover of his second book "Special DeLuxe" inspired this shot.

The latest dio is inspired by the unpopular 2004 Neil Young movie "Greendale" (which was filmed very near where I grew up).

Very impressive. We had an XB Falcon when I was younger and I always wanted to have a GT Hardtop version like your yellow one.

Sadly Fords aren't as popular on our roads now, with all local production due to finish at the end of this year. Interestingly last month the new Mustang was a star perfromer for Ford, outselling the locally produced Falcon and mainstream models like the Mondeo. The best selling Ford in Australia is now the Ranger Ute.

Haven't caught up with this thread for a while, so it was a pleasure to do so this afternoon. As a fellow Neil Young fan I particularly enjoyed those dios, but all your dioramas have a great atmosphere to them. Well done.

And the way you photograph them is, of course, very important and very good. As a fellow diorama-maker, I know that half the trick with presenting dioramas for online forums such as this is in the photography. You also do that well.

Thanks for the comments and compliments -- sure fun to create these scenes, but I don't think that I would bother if it wasn't also possible to share the photos.

David, Tabletop Village is sort of like Brigadoon in that it only last for a moment in time, then has to be repacked. But a side affect is that every time I pull buildings and scenery off the shelf, it turns out different.

Here are are some shots where I have pulled the camera back further than usual.
