From this perspective, the frame for the bed of the Thames would look better if painted black.

For a last horrah for the 2012 Holiday Village I decided to go with an early Ford V8 theme. Enjoy.

I didn't get to Holiday Village 2013 until last night. I found that whatever it is that I think I want to do when I set it up is not as creative as what comes to me after I've been taking photos for an hour -- that is when the juice really flows.

In 2013 the Holiday Village Jugband played an impromptu concert on the roof of a local book store. Eventually the police had to shut them down due to a noise complaint.

Enjoyed those. Thanks for posting

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Obviously the vehicles are featured items, but it's also the sense of community that you've created with the buildings and figures. There are little stories to be read into each frame. I appreciate the variety of camera angles and "long" shots as well as close-ups. Dioramas can be a lot of fun to create "when the juice really flows." ;)

Question: Where do you have your dioramas set up? Is it a dedicated space for dioramas?

Thanks everyone, especial RT. These diorama's are one night stands on the dinning room table. Usually I need to pack them up before I go to bed, but this time I got to leave it up and the next morning I got to take some photos with natural light.

The moment has passed for Holiday stuff, but for the record I wanted to post these. It seems that the difference between this thread and the Table Top Village thread is a white cloth for a ground cover and the addition of ceramic lighted buildings.

Putting my daughter's R/C helicopter into the mix was risky business and was hard to photograph.

More 2015 Holiday Village Diorama. This year I used vehicles from the late '40's to 1965.
