British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Wow, that is impressive Julio!
Thanks, Tom! ;)

This is one of many group shots of my Countachs that used to be in the Group Shots thread. No longer visible thanks to the SOBs at PB!

The AutoArt Countach is the best looking Countach made by any 1/43 manufacturer by far.
Agreed! Can't beat this level of precision at half the price of a sealed Make Up.

I sure hope that AutoArt will make a 1/43 25th Anniversary Countach in either silver or pearl white.
Dude, if that happens - instant buy. Just needs to have the spoiler 8-)

I have 30 Countachs in my collection including the orange MR/Kyosho one with opening features. As I'd seen the green pre production car at Turin and in the Lambo factory museum I was thrilled when the Minichamps finally got round to their 1:43 production. I believe Kyosho had the 1:43 on their 'to do' for a very long time but must have come to a deal with MC to do it instead. I had the very rare 1:18 too but that went to a very good home not far from here. ;)

The Countach like the Miura broke the mould and radically changed design direction.

My intro to Lamborghini was a pullback 25th Anniversary Countach of indeterminate scale & manufacturer (somewhere in storage now so I can't check), that my mom brought from a business trip to Poland when I was 8. Was instantly fascinated by the scissor doors, YB49-shaped wing, and slat vents. Though I now prefer the 5000S/QV stylistically, the 25th Anniversary edition now has additional sentimental value for having been included in NFS3.

It's maybe for this reason that I "merely" appreciate the original '70s Countach as a historic design, without liking it enough to add one to the shelves. Too "restrained" I guess

I prefer the '80s version too, but it would be nice to have an early version alongside to show the evolution from clean design to '80s monster. My collection is always intended as a discussion piece too.

You guys may call me boring, but for me black looks perfect on Countach. The late version with tall rear wings and front/side skirts similar to the Gumball movie (except for the front wing) would be my prefered one.

That pic is brilliant - on par to another group shot from the fellow who used to be here from Turkey and his lineup of DeTomaso cars 8-) I have a few Countach and this just reignited the Spark (see what I did) to get more! BB

I agree! This was the latest (but not last) Countach added to my 8 Countaches and it looks so understated, especially when compared to all of the red, black, etc 5000 QV cars.

I always liked the IXO pace car version from the 1982 Monaco Grand Prix as well :

The IXO Countach looks great! I hope they will make the 25th Anniversary Countach some time later.

Adam

Adam, your request already exists as a Premium X! I have a silver one with white interior and believe it's also available in red. There are several currently available on eBay! Regarding the Monaco Pace Car - it was my first scale Countach bought on a Replicarz sale in 2002 when they had really great deals. Like it so much I have a second one :?

The 25th Anniversary Countach is, and will remain, missing from my Countach collection. I've always felt that it looked horrible!

I think the 25th Anniversary Countach made by Premium X looks horrible too! Sure hope that AutoArt will make it in 1/43. They have already made a wonderful 1/18 25th Anniversary Countach.

Cheers,
Adam
