Like the last 2 but they have one problem each ;) The first is it's a Muller car and I can't stand him and the rear wing on the Honda as it's been pointed out already. Other than that they're great. :D

I haven't been on here for a long time and not much has been added to the collection due to a number of reasons!

Anyway here are my latest additions

1970 Ford Mustang driven by Frank Gardner - by SMTS

Image1970 BTCC - 165 - Ford - Gardner by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0129 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0130 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0131 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

2010 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Alex MacDowell - A Norev conversion

Image2010 BTCC - 20 - Chevrolet - MacDowell by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0125 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0126 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0127 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

I've also been having a little play with two/three tone spray painting and a little model modification.

2009 Vauxhall Vectra

ImageDSC_0121 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

Still needs a tidying up

1999 Vauxhall Vectra

ImageDSC_0123 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

Made the arches a little bigger but will need new bigger wheels and modified the splitter slightly eventhough it will never be right!!

Any 'constructive' criticism welcome on these models.

No Criticisim Chris.. Just curious.
What colours did you apply first on the Vectra's?? The 99 car looks like you painted the white over the red???

Peter, I did the white followed by the red. if you are referring to the red around the window frame that's because I didn't seal the front and back windows completely when spraying the red.

Getting a bit more confident in spraying but making a lot of mistakes...but at least I'm learning from them. Not made a model for a while but doing a lot of painting ready for winter so hopefully I will have a backlog to keep me going!!

The big Ford looks like SMTS done a great job. What was the Norev Cruze before you converted it? As for the other conversions I can't wait to see the finished models as it looks like your off to a great start.

Well done mate. The Vectra's are great ideas and look quite decent for now. Loving the Cruze also. Shame they weren't released to the mainstream.

Well it's time for another update! Don't seem to be on here very often now, just a quick read and that's it, just seem to be too busy!

Well the first is the usual offering by Vanguard

1988 BTCC - James Shead - Volkswagen Golf GTI

ImageDSC_0694 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0695 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0696 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

Now a couple of conversions, thanks to Matt for applying these difficult decals.

2010 BTCC - James Nash - Vauxhall Vectra

Image2010 BTCC - 14 - Vauxhall - Nash by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0698 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0699 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

2010 BTCC - Ollie Jackson - Vauxhall Vectra

Image2011 BTCC - 48 - Vauxhall - Jackson by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0704 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0703 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

Finally Matt also did some work on my Renault 19 kit and improved it no end

Originally look like

Now

ImageDSC_0689 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

Hopefully I will be making some of my own soon, been busy just spraying models this summer!

Very nice, detailing on the Renault worked out well! Really like the Golf in VW Motorsport livery, might have to get that myself.

Harvey model does look a real improvement. Amazing what a little bit of detailing does. Also the diorama sets off your models and lighting rather well i must say.

Well it's been a busy period with a big project being worked on (plus family life!!)

But I have added a new model and completed my first conversion in a while.

First the bought one - 1967 Ford Mustang driven by Jackie Oliver. It looks like a Western models kit made into this race car

ImageBTCC 1967 - 106 - Ford - Oliver by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0276 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0277 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0278 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

And the conversion - 1993 Vauxhall Cavalier driven by Ian Khan in his later livery. This is a vanguard conversion (the decals are slightly too large for the base model though!)

Image1993 BTCC - 17 - Vauxhall - Khan by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0272 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0273 by kilohmunns, on Flickr
ImageDSC_0274 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

Hopefully will be another update soon!

Another Mini next, this is a nice quick £5 Cararama conversion

The Cavalier's and Primera's are great. Where are you getting all the decals to do these conversions? I would love at least one of those Primera's, probably O'dor's car as a tribute to him.

Did you lower the Trofeu Broadspeed Escorts? They look a lower ride height than standard?

Excellent conversions. I have 5 planned myself from the 60s/70s, but the nemesis on my Ford in BTCC collection is that nobody has made the more recent cars. I've found a company that would scratch build them but they want EUR200 a pop as one offs. That's a lot of money per car, although for scratchbuilds with all the aero needing custom shaping its not an outrageous ask by the firm in question, but I can't justify it.

So, unless I win the lottery or someone comes up with the 7 cars, then my collection will have to end as at 2000.

:(

1998 Ford Mondeo Hoy
2009 Ford Focus ST Mk2 Chilton
2010 Ford Focus ST Mk2 LPG Onslow-Cole
2011 Ford Focus ST Mk2 (revised aero) Jackson
2011 Ford Focus ST Mk3 Chilton
2012 Ford Focus ST Mk3 (revised aero) Jackson
2014 Ford Focus ST Mk3 (re-revised aero) Jackson
