great work so far. Do you make the decals yourself? I think changing out the wheels will make big difference to the appearance of the model. Looking forward to seeing the finished car.

You mean like these? :)

Thanks for the comments. Have done more work on the front and back today, as well as the interior and tyres. I think i have caught the model building bug

The decals are made by Baymo. The ones that were already on there certainly put a fight but using Microscale Sol and decal liquid film it comes up almost as if freshly painted. It's time consuming but worth it. Will hopefully get on with the one side left to do tomorrow.

What a pleasure it is to see the model looking so much better than it did when I had it, in fact probably better than it originally did when it left the factory new

It was something I thought of doing but I'm glad the model is in your hands now as you are doing a much better job than I would have ever done. As for your modelling skills they seem to be getting better with each model you build.

Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see the finished model, hopefully you will be able to work some magic on the Alfa as well. ;)

Those wheels look good which ones and where did you get them from as I could do with some when I get around to making some other models??

I'm just glad to have this car in my collection at last and deserves to be restored back to it's former glory. I hope Sporting Images approve of my work. Does anyone know if the company still exists?

Thanks for the kind comments Chris! I'm no pro builder as you know but i just know how i want them to look and try to make them the best i can. I learn new techniques on every build and most of all enjoy what i do.

The wheels are Speedline 15" 5 spoke by Renaissance. From the same guy i pointed you too before (De Roos). Really nice guy, always knows what i'm looking for and very quick delivery too.

Will try to keep the updates coming.

Here is the finished model, shown in stages. Hopefully Sporting Images would approve of my restoration :)

Compared to the real car. Just a quick note, the wheels are not fixed. Just thought i would show them off slightly differently.

Here's my next model i should have finished hopefully. It arrived damaged so have been busy fixing it. Still need to replace some decals and the spoiler. The spoiler was black and having real trouble getting hold of the correct white to match the car so is delaying the completion.

Fairly big update for me. Wasn't looking likely for January but everything has worked out well last few days. Has given me a lot of work to do this year.

Will start with the finished first.
Image
Have done a few updates of this model in the past but can finally say its 100% complete. Have added countless finishing touches like the black trim around the windows and front grille decal. Skills i didn't really have when i first made this model.

Image
This one was bought off Ebay as i thought it would fit in with my BMW collection and was rather special. Have plans to change the wheels at some point. Have already done some paint touch ups here and there.

Image

Image
This will become the 1998 Bintcliffe once i get hold of some 1997/98 number surrounds.

Image
Finally managed to pick up a kit of one of my favourite cars!

Image
2000 Mondeo kit, something i have been waiting to get my hands on for a while when i had saved enough pennies. Should also have a surprise for everyone who has this kit in a few weeks. Until then i'm keeping it under my hat.

Image
These decals will allow me to convert the Vanguards Cavalier and sell the ugly Racing Replicas version.

That's it for now. Plenty to be getting on with :)

I still need the Neal BMW, but when I had a chance to get one I just didn't have enough cash, was a bit gutted at the time.

Long time since i have done an update so here it is.

Some of you maybe aware i have since sold the majority of my diecast models including almost all the Onyx models. This is so i can focus entirely on kit builds and conversions from a range of touring car series. Also trying to fit in time doing a quite a few models for other people.

Have been busy buying kits mostly which at some point will be made, around 30 odd at the moment. Here is some of the models iv'e been busy doing or buying.

You have been busy. The Audi trio look awesome and the Mondeo is the best I've seen of that kit. Your skill is right up there and you can be proud of it 100%.

Great work, the listerine BMW's look great with the proper wheels
I'm not addicted to models, an addict admits their problems & I don't have a problem.

That is excellent. Nice job

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Love that 405, looks superb! I admire your skills, you have created some unique models. Your supertourisme Audi 80s remind me that I have a kit waiting to be built somewhere...
