Jaguar is nice David - how many sheep can you carry in it?

The XJ40 is nicely modeled, but it looks a little too much like a hearse for my liking (I've been to more funerals than I'd like lately !)

Nice adds. Nice conversion on the Jag; makes you wonder why Browns Lane never made one.

The Jag factory did run an XJ40 estate for evaluation purposes as it could occasionally be seen in London. It was a nice looking machine in the metal but as ever they were a bit short on cash to extend the XJ line.

I think by this time the T-Bird had lost its way.

There was worse to come.

When you look at the original and how bloated it became it highlights how excessive auto designers can become.

One of the land barges. Even when I saw them rolling on the street I didn't like them, and the persistent browns and beiges didn't help either.

When I see these old birds on the street, I always wonder "why are you still driving that thing?"

Not much love for the poor old Thunderbird... at least it's a very nicely made model.

I like these and would have loved to buy one but they were too expensive for me at the time they were new/newish.

If I squint my eyes, remove the colour-coded hub-caps and try to tone down the OTT front-end, the 1970 one isn't too bad and the model looks OK to me. OK, it's no 1955 T-Bird but it was a product of its time.

Yep that's a mean colour, but if you wanted bling there was a very tasty and extremely rare Dealer Model of the 2010 Geneva Show car in Lemon Yellow with white interior if I recall correctly.
