Not an ounce of Jaguar in those lines, but an Italian beauty and a superb model!

I wonder what Sir William Lyons thought of that when it was new...

Very Ferrari 250 GT 2+2 which was penned a few years later by Pininfarina.

Can't argue with that. Old Bill Lyons would have choked on his snifter seeing this!

Certainly different from the curves of the XK120

Nice model David - the front looks OK, but the back end loses it for me. Were they chasing the American market with those fins?

That looks very futurist compared to the Jaguar origins. Pity they only built a handful of them.

If this was out in '56 then it would seem that the Americans were chasing the Italian wing ding. ;)

Triumph Italia 1959 - MATRIX

A TR3A reskinned by Michelotti. The future TR4 shape is clearly evident.

Even though it barely makes it, it is still one of the best looking cars from the 50's to me. I have always admired this car.

Solid British engineering with Italian flair, can't beat it. Gets my vote, very nice indeed.

Thanks, Keko, I suspected you might!

This will be next, although I would like it in another colourway to contrast with the 1941 Deluxe.
