1992 Lexus ES300

Post by AdamYip » Thu Feb 16, 2017 6:21 am

I've just converted the Toyota Window made by First 43 into a LHD Lexus ES300. I've removed the Toyota badges and added Lexus badging to it. Also, I've added a sunroof and converted it to LHD and also painted the interior. Need to adjust the ride height of the model car a bit and find a "LEXUS" & "ES300" wording and numbers badging.

I've lowered the ride height a bit and adjusted the wheel to fit inside the fender a bit. Also, I've added orange on the front blinkers.

Nice mods. Any project pics of the ride height and width adjustments? Many models suffer from the wheels protruding over the body limits in width direction, would be useful to see how it's fixed :)

I normally lower the ride height by drilling the holes holding the wheel axis upwards, so the car will drop down a bit. For the wheels that stretched too far out the fenders, I will take the wheel off from the metal axis and cut the axis a bit shorter.

Cheers,
Adam
