One of my personal favorites this week. The body shape is very elegant. Not a big fan of white color cars but this one
does look nice in the white / black cow scheme :D The underframe detail is really well done too.

Nice addition! :)

I've had this model for quite some time, and I like it a lot!

The delivery of racing tires to the slot team will be delayed as our
1909 Ford T Ranch Wagon has developed an engine misfire, hopefully our mechanic
"Mike Fixit" will be able to sort the trouble out.

I have that myself, along with quite a few other Ziss models. I like them a lot.

I've never heard of Ziss, but the model proportions remind me of the Yesteryear Model T, though obviously the rear bodywork is different :

The Ziss models are nice and can be found cheap on ebay, they mostly made early vintage 1900s Motor Cars, some are better then others.

That is a nice Matchbox Model T you have. The wheels look better than on the Ziss which are cheap plastic and not the best looking in my view.

I've had this in my hand several times over the years. Used to be way overpriced, now prices have come down but I've started buying newer diecast only. Still a very attractive model.

Another classic Dinky this week, love these old ones. Some paint chips but overall good shape.

The modellers did a remarkable job at that time. It might not have windows and an interior but the shape and outer details of the real thing is captured perfectly in 1:43.

Thought I'd have a little fun with the editing this week :)
Always think of this car as a Gangster / Film Noir type model you'd see at the docks.

This particular one has been repainted / restored, I always try to go with originals, but this one
was well done in my eyes and is a good representation of the original.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, can't believe its almost December already, where doe the time go ?

Happy Holidays to all Diecast addicts across the World ! :P

"A Christmas Poem" by Bert Donnelly, originally published in C.A.R.S. back in 1967.

On Xmas I was heard, uttering great sounds of joy,
For there in my stocking, was an old Tootsietoy,
My wife, God Bless Her, had found a La Salle,
She placed it in my stocking, a real true pal,
My pulse really quickened, and my eyes shone like stars,
For this was like seeing, a man straight from Mars,
I hope others among you, were as happy as me,
By finding a Tootsie, nestled under the Tree.

*I guess today's equivalent to a Tootsietoy would be a Minichamp Mullin piece.
2 vintage pieces in Holiday colors of course !

Like 'em both a lot. Those old tankers look great with the aerodynamic sheet metal, and the tiny Opel is cute.

Although those Dinky Tankers were colourful (later yellow National Benzole for one ) and I had one or two when I was a child I could never reconcile as a Brit that they were American (Studebaker) based and an odd scale as they just didn't fit in with my 1:43 scale Dinky and Corgi cars.

My oldest Dinky of the 40s period (acquired several years ago when a Norwich toy collectors shop was closing down) is a green and black Bentley Coupe full of period charm with only the most basic of details in mint and unrestored condition. It keeps my play worn 1954 childhood Christmas present olive drab green Jaguar XK120 Dinky number 157 company.

I think Meccano must have had a 'job lot' of that green paint as my Bentley is virtually the same colour as your Alvis but with gloss black lower mudguard casting.

The oldest and most likely the most expensive piece in my slowly growing collection.
Dinky ~ # 30B
Rolls Royce
1935-1940 ~ 1946-1950
As this example has the 3 hole chassis, I believe it to be pre-war.
I'll be on the hunt for a few other pre-war models to join this one in the garage, an Armstrong-Siddeley would look great parked along side ;)
