Spark 1963 Ford Galaxie "after the race"

Post by Ralf B. » Sat Oct 22, 2016 12:42 pm

I am training my weathering skills, my latest victim is Dan Gurney's Daytona 500 car

Guess next will be one of these Quartzo Chevies...

I probably would have practiced my skills on one of the Quartzo's first, then progressed to the Spark. Nevertheless the Galaxie looks great and has a really nice feel to it.

Now this is something I would like to know more about but have never taken the plunge or got the confidence to do. Impressed with your Galaxie mind, very effective.

Love it. 8-) I would like to learn some weathering skills. I think it looks sort of unrealistic for all the cars and trucks in my dioramas to look like they just came out of the car wash.

Very nice! I have to confess, l tried something similar with one on my older Minichamps Porsches and the outcome was a total disaster. So l know, it is not an easy thing. It would be great, if you post the individual steps and tips of how you do it, next time you your next project.
