Which cars could be accurate to go with this transporter? Only the 1971 Porsche 917 K?

Bruno, the white Martini transporter was used from 1976 - 1978 (back in 1971 the transporters were still red and in Gulf colours). Hence, you can use it with the white Martini liveried Porsche 935 or 936's :

You might like to consider the following set from 1977 :

1977 Le Mans #4 Porsche 936/77 (Winner) :

1977 Le Mans #41 Porsche 935 / 77 (DNF) :

Here's another option Bruno, the Martini transporter and the bare prototype 936 at the first test at Paul Ricard :

Minichamps have done the Paul Ricard prototype 936 :

The two together could make a cool diorama.

It would be an interesting combination too, Ian, however I prefer liveried cars. I researched the models available and decided to go with the 1977 Le Mans set, as per your suggestion.

Good choice Bruno. You could also go with the 1978 set using a 'Moby Dick' and 936/78. The '78 Moby Dick may be easier to find and cheaper than the '77 Porsche 935/77.

The nice thing about the Martini transporter is that there are a lot of cars that can be used, where the others, specially the maroon and Rothmans, give you only very limited options*.

Thanks a lot for the help, guys!

I chose the 19767 set: 2x 936/77 and 1x 935 (#41).

I already have the 1978 Moby Dick, but I don't like very much 936/78's. I prefer the 1977 versions.

AT least by already having the Moby Dick, you'll have something to display with it while you wait for the others to arrive.

Another potential racing related truck is this new Premium Classixxs Mercedes LP911 of the BMW team. "Rennabteilung" translates as "Racing Department".

According to Wikipedia, the L-911 series was produced from 1961-1984, so it is difficult to pin down when this was used. However, since it doesn't feature the red, light blue and dark blue stripes of "M-Sport", I'm guessing its pre-1973 :

I can't find any pictures of the 1:1, and when you google "Bmw Rennabteilung" you simply get pages of hits for the Premium Classixxs model. There is also the possibility it relates to BMW's motorcycle racing team, rather than the motorsport team.

I quite like it, but I can't think of any cars in my collection to display with it.

I am with Gary, the design looks early 60's at the newest but to my eye it looks great!

Here's the BMW factory team at Le Mans in 1973. The transporter in the picture has a similar colour scheme to the truck above, but there is no sign of the truck in the picture.
