So the stars will not fall out of the sky tonight... :? I was worried there was a 917/20 in Jägermeister livery that I wasn't aware of.
I'm feeling better now.

That is a good looking model Ian , but one that will be nigh on impossible to find with such a low production run .
I actually bought the 1/18 Minichamps car when it was released , so I wouldnt say I dislike the livery .

It was only released last year Gary, so you can still find them, albeit at high prices :

very nice! I'm not usually a fan of mirrored bases, but in this case it works pretty good.

That base was made for another transporter, my 1:18 MB "Blue Wonder" from CMC - the thing was so detailed that I had to show the undercarriage. The truck is gone but the display remained, so I thought of putting it back to good use.

That looks great Luc. It's a great way to recycle the case.

Though the case will be used for a transporter, there's some debate about which transporter will be kept there :D.

Thanks Martin! It does look good, but as I said I don't think the 917K will stay there.

Luc, I just found this shot of the 1970 Le Mans paddock from Steve McQueens movie (you can see the GT40 camera car next to the two Gulf Porsche's) and thought of you :

Awesome! I already saved the photo, thanks Image.

Cool to see all three of the MB O317 together, plus the support vehicles and the bus! Look at this same day, probably on Friday before the race (moments apart?) from another angle:
Porsche_MB-O317_03.jpg
A Martini car being serviced by the "Porsche" crew. I guess that proves that all three teams were basically a big factory effort.

And interesting to see that the only thing that distinguishes the gendarme from the regular fans ogling around the cars is the weapon holster .
