The radiator shell came out beautifully, and I love the slats. Incredibly realistic. The interior and exterior colours combine wonderfully.

You're an undercover agent of amazon, admit  First the dehydrator, now full-spectrum lighting - slowly I spend more on this stuff than for models...
How did you find out!?! It was the car, wasn't it? You saw my car!

I knew I should have repainted the hood.

What a difference some matte black paint makes ;) Sometimes I use "blackwash" from Tamiya, but in my opinion black paint, dried over night and then polished gives the deeper effect. I'm glad that you like the colour combination. After the controversial discussion with the orange Delage I thought I should choose a more traditional colour scheme :D But be aware: the more I'm going into the thing with pearlescent paints, the more fanciful ideas I have for my future models...

Great  ! Fantastic subject to make those funny cars of all the 60s & 70s TV shows. At the moment they show "The Persuaders" again in German TV. When I was a child I watched this show only for the Ferrari and the mustard yellow Aston.

Superb grill
Thank you :P ! I'm quite satisfied with it, and so I guess I will use this one instead the original grille when making the Brooklin Bentleys, even if it is not chromed...

Before glueing the steering wheel finally to the dashboard, I made a handbrake and gear lever.

Thanks! It's really satisfying to learn more and more about making all those details. So it's possible to keep only the main shape of a model and replace all trim by p/e parts. :)

Beautifully made mascots and badges! The trim on the running boards looks superb.

I'm always impressed by the way you attach the p/e "chrome" trim like the running boards. If it was me, there would be glue everywhere !

Thanks! You might ask why I etch hundreds of badges during the last weeks... Well, I still have the plan to sell those badges and mascots on ebay, and so I now try how fine I could etch them to have a "final" layout which is working well. :)

It's not that difficult. If you like to, have a look at this small tutorial:

Image
Mixing a small amount of 2K-glue.

Image
Fixing the p/e part on double sided adhesive tape and apply very few glue with a cut-off 0.25mm needle.

Image
Waiting a couple of minutes until the glue is not entirely liquid anymore, but already a slightly setting. Then quickly applying the p/e part.

Image
Waiting 30 to 60 minutes, then removing with a clean toothpick any glue excess around the part without any traces. Ready :P !

Image
The last p/e parts for the Bentley - hopefully... :)

Image
The tarp (or: persenning, in German :D ).

The completed tail.

Completed left-hand side.

I always fear that I'd run out of ideas and all the works would be repeated endlessly, so I'm very happy that I still find details and methods which require new ideas ;)

That is a great looking car. And the best part is that it is #1 in a series of 1.

That's the point :D ! This time - I guess - even a resin model of this car is not available ;)
