An interior that matches the rest of the build. Superb detail.
Thanks! Many details of this model are quite a fantasy, as there is only the single vintage photo and the few photos of the 60s, on which hardly anything is visible. I checked many photos of similar Saoutchik Hispanos, as the coachbuilders usually kept their style and details for different cars. So I hope that Messrs Hispano-Suiza and Saoutchik will give their approval... :)

There's the period pic showing a "white" car, the 60s photo with the dark-brown painting and the later (?) pic with red/red painting. I wondered which interior colour would match all three paintings, as the interior mostly is original due to the costs making a new one. And so I chose this dark brown.

I made the radiator mask in 0.1 as well as in 0.2mm thickness to see which one gives the better look.

It's the 0.2mm one :)

Completed rear end.

You know what, after following your threads I start liking white metal models   Fantastic job, as always!

Thanks :P I'm sure the master makers would do it the same way, but controlling intervenes because they fear that they will not be able to sell models for a four-figure sum  .

Finally the radiator grille is ready and put on place.

And the mirrors on the spares as well.

Those final details look great! Always a treat to see what you come up with to make this even better than the last one...

I guess there are only few improvements I can present... But of course I hope to bring all those methods and techniques to a kind of perfection, somewhen... :)

The completed soft-top.

And finally the completed front-end, with Hispano badge, mascot, headlights and signal horns.

I guess that's all, folks :P Give me a couple of days to recreate and take some nice pictures, and then I'll show this great car in its full beauty!

Another work of art! I wanted to say that the frontal aspect pleases me most but that would mean ignoring the rest of this masterpiece.

Not only a work of art for its build and engineering quality but also an aesthetically pleasing car, with beautiful proportions. Congrats on yet another excellent build.

Brilliant build/resto. Would love a pic next to your unmodified model to see the improvements.
Cheers,

Very elegant and classy. I have got rid of all my old white metal models except this Western Hispano as it still looks pretty good in standard form but this rebuild is spectacular.

Fantastic Jean. While not a fan of the colour originally, it does show of the shape and the detail really well. Truly impressive.

Thank you so much :P ! Indeed, recently I saw a documentary about ocean liners of the 1930s, and since then I name this Hispano the "Normandie on wheels" :D

Don't forget my Mercedes 540K ;) But thanks! I guess the colour scheme is quite suitable for the car, and I hope it does not strain the nerves of the audience for once (concerning some of my recent builds ;) )

Thank you so much! Getting rid of white metals? But that's a kind of genocide, isn't it :o

Thanks a lot! I know, you prefer two-tone schemes, perhaps the next one comes a little closer to your taste ;)
