Tameo kit now finished - F1 Coloni

Post by MarkWicks » Sun Jan 05, 2020 11:00 pm

Been a while since I've posted on here! I've just finished a 1:43 white metal kit (Tameo's 1988 Coloni CF188 formula one car) and thought I'd share.

Coloni was one of the backmarker teams and only survived a few years. I tried a new brand of paint on this one, and was pretty happy with how this now 30-year old kit turned out.

I've posted a full build diary with photos & info on my blog: https://www.wixy500.com/1988-coloni-cf188-tameo-143/

That is one "Sierra Hotel" build my friend!

The paint work is spot on IMHO.

Really, really nice.

Nice work Mark. By coincidence I did see this on your website over the festive holidays.

Bravo :P :!: I'm simply astonished of the result, the racer looks so perfectly made that I'm missing the words! It's a big inspiration - and huge challenge - for me to see your building process as I'm right now making the "little brother" of this bolide. Your paintwork seems to be flawless, the wheels are a dream and the overall finish is masterly. Thanks for sharing the story!

Thanks for all the kind words. I will be building more backmarker F1s, but not sure what or when just yet!

Cheers
