These are the very first White Metal kits I ever brought, from a small model shop in an alley way behind New Street Station Birmingham, I would think around the early 1970s.
Both are John Day kits one on the Auto Union and the other of a Le Mans Panhard. Both models made over 40 years ago, all made straight out of the box, I didn’t know what super detailing was back then!!
Quite random selection but probably dictated by what was on offer!!?? But they are both still in my collection.

These next two are both HRGs.
The streamlined car is the rare Aerodynamic HRG, and is actually a vacform bodied model. This is an all clear plastic body painted from the inside, like the old slot car bodies. No idea where I got this from or who made it Acorn Models possibly??
The other one is an HRG 1500 Mikansue kit. Built a couple of years ago as the 1948 Alpine Rally car of Richards and Beaumont. I have a later version nearly complete just need to sort out the rally plate. Again built straight out of the box. Chris
