Yes, it's really annoying that some cars cannot be modelled properly. I have a few examples myself.

Meanwhile, these are starting to look fantastic. I love it that you put so much work into models that look almost finished, and it always pays.

It's a crazy thing, with every new model I swear only to make the absolutely necessary parts and to use mainly original parts, but then I plan more and more and by the end only the rough body is left and all details are made newly. But well, that's the way it is :) , and of course I have to admit that it's satisfying anyhow! I always say that I make a certain model only once in a lifetime, and so I want it to "last forever" :P

Very kind, thank you! Indeed I feel like an artist, at least I think that I feel the same inner struggles and processes a real artist seems to have when being creative. But I know that model building is no art, rather a kind of artisanal goods (in German it's called "Kunstgewerbe"), but I've had a faible for this my whole life :D

The rear of both models is finished with all details:

It's amazing to see the amount of work that goes into these last details. And I'm pretty sure that everything translates into a better end product.

You won't believe what amount of work goes into the last details  I made quite ambitious p/e parts this time, and they are so very small that I simply didn't know how to handle them  Especially the "holders" at the sides of the windscreen took several hours today... The radiator grille for the Altaya is delayed as I had to re-do the black painting. On the other hand, the Épokit is completely finished :P :

The window panes are cut out, the side bars covered with black BMF, a hole drilled into the center for fixing the wipers:

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen windscreen wipers that detailed before. Whatever your customer is paying you, it isn't enough !

At a time I really wondered if I should make the wipers movable, but I guess this would have driven me crazy - entirely  And yes, frankly spoken, I guess I won't get that much for that car, but sometimes you simply have to do what a man has to :D

No big surprise, the Altaya version is ready now! First the parts for the radiator grille:

Tomorrow I'll clean the cars and prepare the diorama, and on Monday I will take some really nice pictures, stay tuned :P

That's not an upgrade of the Altaya. It's a total rebuild... Both are now artisan models. My hat's off to you!

Fantastic work :)
You must have very steady hand to be able to install so tiny parts, for example that 0,2mm part in 0,3mm hole. I don't know if I'd hit even 2mm hole

So if I understand correctly Jean, the blue (Épokit) version is for your customer and the pink (IXO) version is for yourself. It must be hard to let one of these go.

Drools all around the place!
I totally love the functional sliding roof.. and the doors seem to open, too from the pictures

After seeing these pictures I only wish all models were that detailed!.. But they aren't :x

It's not so very hard... When I know from the beginning that it is not my own car, I'm a kind of "prepared". But I already had some offers for cars of my own collection, and such I have to reject entirely... :)

Believe me, I agree with fully with your wish, then I would have much more time for doing other things (although I just don't know what this could be...) And no, the doors are not opening, it's just the thick black rubber sealing which all those Voisins had. I'm sure there are some model-builders who are able to make opening doors and bonnets, but that's a thing I'm simply unable to do :(

Thank you all for joining this thread, now the Voisin found its new home, and I've already started the next project - actually the next two projects, have a look... :P

Thank you :P ! I indeed prefer my own pink one! I love unusual colours, and together with the original coloured interior I find this quite sexy! There will be lots of cars in my collection wearing blue/black/white/silver... :)
