Greetings from France

Post by Le Baron Noir » Sat Jul 14, 2018 6:52 pm

Hello everyone !

I am Alexandre from Paris, France. I am originally a BMW enthusiast, collecting BMW from the beginning to the 90's and restoring a 323i e21 right now !

Last week I went to Le Mans Classic and then I started a "new" theme with classic cars from 1910 to 1940's ...
Hopefully my girlfriend prefers those models to BMW !

Here a picture from my display (at the most 30% of the all collection)

Here the fist part of my new theme, sorry the two intruders at the top !

You know why Italians speak with their hands? Because they have to work a lot on their engines.

Hello Alexandre. Welcome aboard!

The pre WW2 theme should prove very interesting, it's not so popular among new collectors but I find it très cool!

In which city from France do you live? France is a beautiful country.

Nice to see a couple of "Australian" BMWs in your collection, and an Alfa Romeo - Nice!!

Thanks for all your kind answers !

Jager, i've already discovered lots of beautiful things !

Indeed Serafa, I always loved the shape of Bentley Speed six or others, Alfa Romeo Tipo P3, without huge mudguards etc... I live in Paris, which is quite helpful to go to Retromobile 5 or 6 times during the event !

Thanks Alfaholic, the JPS livery is of my favorite one ! So I had to have them in my collection !

Welcome aboard Alexandre from NZ.
Only Bimmers I have in my stash are the 2002 touring in 1/18 & 1/43 but the JPS ones look awesome in the livery but fit none of my themes lol.
Good bunch in here.

As you can see I'm a big Le Mans fan but have to admit a fan who has not yet been to the Le Mans Classic. An event I MUST see before to long.

However I usually get to Paris every February for Retromoible which is always fascinating.

Welcome to the forum Alexandre I'm sure you will enjoy this mad but very knowledgeable lot ;)

Thanks LM24HRS ! I hope you will come to Le Mans soon ! You have to go to Le Mans Classic as well !

You are right about Retromobile ! Did you try Techno Classica at Essen which is much better than Retromobile (from my German lover's point of view  ) ?

I hope to go to Goodwood Revival or Members Meeting one day ! :p
