1/32 Aircraft

Post by sheepCrusher » Tue Aug 21, 2012 3:35 pm

So I'm sitting at my desk at my office when my boss' boyfriend Will asks me to come to the back. This gigantic box is there and he says "this is for you"! Sweet mother of god!! It is 1/32 scale, of which I don't have any, but I am happy to have a huge very nice model of this iconic plane. What an awesome gift out of nowhere. We had talked over the years about my airplane model collection and he always said I should have one. I agreed, but there were other models with higher priority on my list. This is so massive I'm not sure where to put it. See the 1/43 Ebbro Shiden in the background next to the wizards. It carries a Cookie bomb which could take out a whole city block. Model is very impressive. Diecast and quite heavy. More, better pics to follow. Very generous present from Will. :o

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

I built one of those once when I was about 14 y o... reading Biggles... good times. That Mosquito looks about 1000 times better than the model I built back then... ;)

A good looking model. You could always hang it on the wall rather than put it in a cabinet.

It is Arvid - Heller 1/125 scale (so a bit Off Topic) when most large scale have been (Revell) 1/144. I also have this to build (1/72 scale!) plus a 1/48 Fujimi F14 Tomcat (Top Gun and all that)

It's interesting to have a plane that was made out of wood be a model made out metal.
