Paul, at the moment I don't know if anyone from here is going this year.

Many of the Spark shops at Le Mans are run in partnership with BAM as you probably know. However I just checked the BAM website but they are showing the Lola as being sold out as well, which would torpedo my theory :

So....I was lucky to get the Lola? Mind you, I ordered it from John when first seen in the catalogue. I do worry about late ordering - sometimes, unless you've been keeping an eye out, some models slip past....

It has indeed but at very limited numbers by the sound of it. I have just seen it on two UK websites for £179.00 :o

Wouldn't be Trax Models by any chance?

Porsche was selling limited edition models from their Rothmans and Pink Pig GTE cars at their official shop in Le Mans.
1:43, Produced by Spark and only available at Le Mans. Not even in the Porsche museum.

They came in a special collectors packaging, which had a picture on the back of the original pink pig and 962.
Price was 65€ per model.

Decided to buy both as an investment. (Still buying the standard Spark release later)
The only thing what is missing from the race version are the total decals they told me.

Visited the Spark stands at Le Mans over the weekend. Tapped one guy on the shoulder and asked if he worked for Spark. After receiving a positive reply I enquired why they haven't produced the long tail Porsche 917-s. I explained I could buy Ebbro and Minichamps, but I didn't appreciate the quality. He said they had actually produced them for a German magazine. But then he admitted that was over ten years ago. I told him I had acquired the two 1971 longtails, but the rest I just can't buy. And then continued to stare at him with dissappointed eyes to which he replied "I guess we should put those on the list of upcoming models then". I said I'd really appreciate it. That was pretty much it.

Fingers crossed they will do it some day. I'm really hoping for the following models:

1969 Le Mans #10 917LH
1969 Le Mans #12 917LH
1969 Le Mans #14 917LH
1969 Le Mans #15 917LH
1970 Le Mans #3 917LH
1970 Le Mans #25 917LH
1971 Le Mans #21 917LH
1971 Le Mans #19 917K

I also wanted to write them a letter. They contact form on the homepage gives me an error message. Does anyone know how to reach them by letter?

Congratulations on the retro Porsches Brecht. At 65€ per model I'm not sure how much of an investment they will be (especially if the livery is wrong), but enjoy them knowing the rest of us will probably have to wait 12 months before we get the regular releases.
