It seems 1:43 WRC is an endangered species. :(

Looks like us rally fans are very much a minority when it comes to the manufacturers' interests at the moment which is ironic as the sport has just entered a new era at the top level. At least Otto appear to be enthusiast led although I know they are the wrong scale for here!

I've been trawling the net today during a particularly boring training course and most of the sites I've found stuff on in the past either no longer exist or just seem to be majoring on 1/18th scale and even then almost the same models Porsche 911 G3RS, Ferrari TDF etc. As for our friends at Ixo apart from Ulf's 1/18th part-work Alpine and Lancia no-one appears to have bothered posting any pics....yet!

Minichamps.de website and FB pages have a few pics from N'berg on.Wading through 13 pages of their 2017 catalogue listing will give an idea of what we might or might not see during the next twelve months. Maxichamps and their resin models are all mixed in as well (I do wish they would declare what material the models are made from!). At least they give the scales. Quite a few re-colours of existing stuff. They have also put a March 2017 as a release date for masses of Land Rover, Bentley, McLaren etc,. in their Almost Real range which looks a bit ambitious. As we know from experience what we see on a list and what appears on the shop shelf don't always tally.

Yes, both in 1:18. TSM is going to make the Vulcan in 1:43. Kess has the Cizeta in its 1:43 catalogue.

Only one word can describe the NUremberg Toy Fair for someone like me who collects racing cars in 1/43: disappointing.

Even in past years, I think there was more interest from the catalogues that were released at the time of the show than the models actually shown at the show. Its strange we haven't seen Spark's 2017 catalogue yet....traditionally its been released at the time of the show.

There was a sign in the main entrance that Schuco is in Hall 4 with the main Dickie Group stand. Will check this.

I hope that was an issue with the Fair, not the manufacturer itself. Sometimes they start to demand a lot of money from companies to have a space in the event, so companies simply loose their interest to be part of the event.

I wrote to Spark several days ago, and they answered that his 2017 catalogue will be available at beginning of February.

So it's coming soon... maybe along this week we'll can see it.

In the 2016 catalogue there were too many future releases that didn't see the light last year, so I'm sure many of the 2017 models still will be the ones that were not released in 2016. So I'm expecting to see what's really new.

Not only the 2016 catalogue....there are at least 4 models still to be produced from Spark's 2012 catalogue.

You're right

Now I was looking at the Spark 2013 catalogue, and several models announced have been released in 2016. Another brands (maybe all of them) do the same too.

Great to see Esval proposing to make the Trident. I wonder if they will make the original, prettier TVR Trident version. Surely a seller. Come to that was there any sign of the models from their earlier, (overly?) ambitious programmes of a few years back. Where's the Peerless and the Brooks Steven's Gaylord?

I can see Gaz extending the 'Trevor' collection with this 'Clipper' version. As Will says surely the original 1965 Trident Coupe in red and one off Convertible in metallic blue have to be candidates for 1:43 production. Modified Clipper lost the purity when it went to Woodbridge although they at least managed to sell some.
