Post by Galaxy Gaz » Tue Dec 12, 2017 1:32 pm

Just a heads up for anyone looking for a decent , budget priced display cabinet . I`ve waited 12 months for them to show up again so wont be missing out this time around.

Lidl here in the UK , have their Livarno display cases back on offer as of Thursday 14/12 . A decent looking cabinet , free standing or wall mountable . Price is a respectable £59.99 each.

Large, lockable cabinet with glass doors and 10 height-adjustable glass shelves that should hold approx 75-100 1/43 models
Available in beech-effect or white, each with a scratch-resistant melamine resin coating
Size: H110 x W68 x D20cm

I envy you guys for having such a variety of cabinets to buy!

It seems that cabinets are completely out of the priorities for furniture makers in third world countries, like mine! 8-)

Julio, they're not so many available in the US either. Some have IKEA which make a few if one is creative, there are the all acrylic ones from if that's your thing and a few from eBay but not much else. BB

There wont be any Porsches going in these Ian . These cabinets are just to house my Ford collection thats currently packed away so I have reserved 6 of them .
I already have 5 large portrait cabinets waiting to go up on the wall for the Porsche models.

I googled 'Lidl NZ' and got a German supermarket chain looking to break into the Australia market and a campaign to enter NZ to give some competion to the Duopoly we have down here.

Same company :?

Yeh , Lidl are German that sell low price stuff . I think the Livarno range of merchandise is their own brand . They were supposed to be entering the US market in 2017 too , but im unsure if theyve started trading yet.

Those cabinets look really great.and slimline to fill my front hallway both sides.

And then place a sign outside and charge an entry fee to see my collection.

The cabinets look great. I wish I had some of those.

I never heard of Lidl before but a Google search shows that they have bought 15 sites in North Texas. In fact it looks like one will be about a half mile from my house. The article said Lidl grocery stores though so I don't think they would be selling cabinets.

They do. They sell a range of non-food articles that change weekly.

A Lidl is rhe closest supermarket for me. Good quality and cheap

Awww NOOOOOOOOOOOO!! not now, I was just thinking about these about a fortnight ago and was wondering if I had maybe missed the sale of these and now I dont have any funds until the end of next week when I get my xmas pay a few days earlier than it should be (only because it's xmas) so I'll probably miss out again till next years sale... White would be great.

Only a bit more upmarket. Same general idea.
I didn't know you had Aldi in the US.

They've appeared in my part of Florida (North) in the last 2 years. I enjoy going there, some items (food and otherwise) you won't find anywhere else, reasonable too! Only problem is they only have 1 register open, no matter how busy  BB

I do my weekly shopping at Aldi, it's the same here. Lidl is a little more expensive but more organised.

We have had Aldi for years. There are 2 in my city alone. We have a regional deep discount grocer that is quite a bit bigger and a fair bit more disorganized than Aldi. We only visit the Aldi a couple times a year I like their chocolate muffin mix.
