I recently bought the 1056 Mercury Montclair convertible and 1961 Ford Country Squire station wagon and very nice they are too. Nice models of vehicles that have previously been ignored. Now if only there were some early 1960's Pontiacs.

Dare I say they have a touch of Franklin Mint about them? What are they made from - white metal or resin?

I have been trying to stay quiet and keep my opinion to myself on these but that is not really me. I have seen a few of these around and they are very nice. They are out of my price range but I was figuring on making an exception for the F100 as its my favorite truck.
That was until I saw it, I would rate it a big miss. I am not quite sure what truck they were trying to replicate but to my eye, it is not a 1965 F100 from the doors back. It is much too "Slab Sided". The 1:1 was lovely and curvy. The 1:43 looks like its boxy.

Shame as I love every subject Sergio has chosen to model.

Agree, they don't even look like the same car.

Maybe a more 'like for like' comparison helps (or not !) :

I noticed that the model has three mirrors and the 1:1 has just one – of a different style. The grille is different, and there is that emblem on the fender. But apparently the 1965 F-100 was available with features just like the model: http://cdn.barrett-jackson.com/staging/ ... -4_Web.jpg

The photo of the 1:1 is a 1966 model and the 1:43 is a '65, which explains the different grille. My biggest beef with this model is the lettering on the tail is of the 1967-72 era, not the bolder 1964-66 lettering. These days it is actually very common to see 1964-66 F-100s with replacement 1967-72 tail gates.

Here is the correct 1964-66 lettering:
