Every 1:43 collector should still have at least one oversized model as the centre-piece of their collection, right ?
If so, what could be better than this 1:12 model from Minichamps of the 1970 Le Mans winner. Yours for the price of 5x 1:43 models.

I think having that money in my pocket would be better. I tried having the "at least one oversized model as the centre-piece of my collection" and I found I was very resentful of the space it took.

Pass. The space and money used for that would be better directed towards 1:43.
Been there, done that, and I know it's better to stick with 1:43.

I have three 1:12s left. Still wondering what to do with them. They're amazing but they just take up too much space.
Even so, the 917 is excellent.

I like the idea. I agree with having a larger scale of something special. For me, 1/18 is big enough. I have a handful that won't show the same in 1/43. This one is very nice. I do find that there are enough 1/43 that are also very special to me. It gets a little difficult about which one of those to overspend on.

If I didn't already have my AWESOME 1:12 Red 964 Turbo then I would have been really tempted by this piece being a huge Porsche fan and all. But I don't think anything will ever tear me away from my 964
