British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Tom, Do you have a detail photo of the grille? I'm curious to see if it has the Argentine badge or the European badge.

Great collection of UK Fords. The pale metallic green MkIII Escort reminds me of when I had a 1:1 on order and the dealership cancelled it due to 'paint problems' reported by the factory. I chose Solar Gold instead. I'm still waiting for makers of 1:43 to render various Fords I owned in the colours I chose for my 1:1s... Some facelifts like my 1973 Capri (same body as '69 but with bigger headlights and tail lights) haven't been modelled in diecast metal either.

I just bought an example of the original Argentine partwork version on e-bay. I considered the Whitebox version but the color is too similar to my Neo version of the European spec car.

Is your model really #1 of 1,000?!

Nope, it's one of 1000. Whitebox models aren't numbered releases. That would be something given their 20 euro RRP... :)
