You have to love a Cossy , such a fantastic car .

The wipers on the Sainz Tour de Corse car are definitely wrong . That particular car was one of two UK registered cars that he used and both were left hand drive .

Ford Promotional Models

Image1:43 Ford Promotional Models by Michael, on Flickr

Minichamps built 1:43 promotional models for Ford of Europe from about 1994 to about 2011. After that, Greenlight built four 1:43 promotional models. Norev followed, and by my count, has built seven 1:43 promotional models for Ford, the most recent release being current Ford Edge. However, it has been over a year since I've seen a new 1:43 Ford promotional model -- are there more in the pipeline? I'm hoping for the new Fiesta, the Ecosport, and the Ranger.

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Sierra Garage

The current state of my collection of 1:43 Ford Sierras is pretty good. Future Sierra-based models that I'd like to see are the South African XR6 and XR8, the Merkur XR4Ti, Mk II (1987-88), and a P-100 pickup.

Yesterday my copy The Cars You Always Promised Yourself by Steve Saxty arrived, and I was quick to do this little photo shoot.

The models lined up here, represent 12 of the 14 chapters of this important new book.

My ownership of three 1:1 Capris - 1974 1.6XL, 1975 MkII 1.6GL and 1978 MkII 2.0 GL two Escort MkIII - both 1.6 GL, one Fiesta 1.3 Ghia, and Cortina Mk IV 1.6GL suggest that the book might make a good read.

I think it will become part of the Ford canon.
