British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

I couldn't tell exactly who made it from the box. Just went with what dealer advertised it as when I bought sometime last year. I just assumed it was a PW.

Like this vintage SS1 tourer. Has it been modified?

From slightly later.

Very nice grouping of old Jaguar saloons David! The Western Model has not been modified, but I have not seen another example come up for sale in this color. I appreciate that Western made it possible for you to display top up or top down.

Before the company became Jaguar after WWII, the beginnings were in Blackpool where SS Swallow made motorcycle side cars and rebodied small Austin 7 sedans. Both brought an unequaled amount of coachbuilt style and finish to lower end motoring that previously was only available to the wealthy and in much larger automobiles. Here are a Swallow side car and SS Swallow Austin 7 from 1927-1932.

Great! It's a pity MATRIX goofed on the S2 roadster's windscreen.

1932-35 SS2 - Gems & Cobwebs: This small four-cylinder (1.0L), gave Swallow a low priced, economical model in its luxury car range. It started the Jaguar tradition of having a low priced introductory model within its offerings.

Although it would have been a big hit in the 70's! :D Actually, the fenders are too lime green as compared to original.
