That's a pretty accurate reflection of my road car collection plus IXOs in Black, white, red and Altaya Orange. Auto Hebdo red and silver specials.

Cheers Ian. At one stage I nearly bought all the Hekorsa specials also. Big job photographing and posting that lot... :(

Awesome! That's a pretty consistent McLaren line-up you have there! Even at least one F1 GTR short tail will make me happy... but it'll cost me an arm-and-a-leg these days! :?
Whenever or whoever you go to, to do shopping 1:43 scale models on EBay... DO NOT BUY FROM WLTOYBOY

I have seven Japan only editions and two of them did cost an arm and a leg back in 2003. With the way that prices are going the Japan models will seem reasonable in a couple of years. I may still add at least one HPI Mac.

Cheers guys - I decided instead of buying too much I would photograph what I have in themes (good idea Andy/Jeff). The GTR is a bit of a Marmite car ie you either really like it or dont. For me, it was a really well thought out product way back in 1995 and the evolution into LM was cool. I also recall a TV prog where Noel Edmonds bought one and went racing with it (tried to get David Price involved if I recall).

The new MP4/12 or whatever just doesnt do anything for me - bit of a case of been there, done that.

Ian - I agree - back in early 2000s the GTR hit a real craze - I recall going to Toyfairs and seeing them at £80-£120 no probs. I have never tried to fill in my gaps, but if I ever see the Harrods cars going cheap will snap them up as the livery was cool. Hope HPi do them.

The pic of the label above was weird on one of the boxes - a complete misprint by Minichamps

Cheers Julio - I also got as much fun seeing them all together. Apologies for the photos - the dopey photobucket programme seems to upload in reverse order so these pics are all back-to-front in sequence

I have been lukewarm about the MP4-12C Road Car but there is a YT video (See Pistonheads News pages) of the new GT3 car testing at Silverstone which dramatically raises the 'got to have' desirability stakes and could hint at future facelifts on the road car.

My H&H black F1 has the item number 533 133440 (which I note down off the label) on my database but I'm going to have to dig the model out to check the label.

Not a big Mac F1 fan but wow, that is very impressive and its my first time seeing the Tag Heuer version which I like very much.

Fantastic collection, Paul.

It looks as though the TAG Mac has sustained damage to the 'A' pillar. I was stunned to see that mine cost me 90 quid way back. Obviously got carried away in a bidding war by looks of it! And that's not the highest amount I paid for a special edition either. The Japan market models were expensive too!

Ian - I have never spotted that A pillar damage. Totally bizarre. That car was bought in Sydney in 1998 for AUD 43 (about £20 back then) - there is/was no damage to the box etc ever in its life with me. Oh well - adds to the story...

Jeff - I like big Macs too - about once a month with cheese...

The BMW race cars are my favourites
