Yes, in the 007 Collection that has Minichamps, the model from the film 'Diamonds are Forever'.

So are there two vision of the Diamonds Are Forever Mustang? A Minichamps and and an IXO casting? I see that Greenlight now has a similar looking '71 Mustang, I wonder if it is their own diecast, or borrowed from another company.

On my database as one of only 12 US Fords in my collection (and in a storage crate hidden away) I have listed a 1:43 red '71 Mustang Mach 1 in Corgi repro style box bought in 2002 for 3GBP. Bought because I like the shape, it was a decent representation, well finished and cheap. It is plain Jane without contrasting Mach 1 decals.
It is from the "Century of Cars" series so is a partworks type model using the 'Corgi' name as a marketing 'hook' and an Solido/IXO/Altaya mould. Easily found on ebay.

Minichamps has it´s own Bond Mustang Mach 1, and it´s a different model than the PW 007 Collection, which seems to be an Ixo or UH as that PW collection has model from the 2 manufacturers.

-Minichamps Mach 1 from the Bond Series, ref nº 436087120
http://www.carmodel.com/es/minichamps/4 ... bond/30690

-Greenlight Mach 1, recently released, ref nº 86304
http://www.carmodel.com/es/greenlight/8 ... 1971/87327

-PW Mach 1, unkwon manufacturer, maybe Ixo. Ref nº BONDCOL013
http://www.carmodel.com/es/edicola/bond ... anti/62172

I hope it´s clearer now...

Cheers

I know, I was referring to the 'Corgi'-labeled model.

Looks like Greenlight has their own casting.

and for the sake of completeness, a close-up of the Minichamps

Thanks Keko. I 'm surprised at how good the Greenlight model looks. I've just added it to my list!

Inspired by Keko's post above, I bought the Greenlight Mach I.

ImageFord Mustang Mach I (1971) by Greenlight by Michael, on Flickr

Didn't quite get the grille right, but the rest of the is surprisingly good.

The yellow Minichamps models has the edge over the Greenlight with the shape of the grille.

Ride height on the Greenlight seems too high. Are the wheels bigger than the Minichamps?

Both well detailed at the rear, but I think the Greenlight is a little better (the backup light is a nice touch).

The Greenlight appears much larger than the the Minichamps, but I think that may be due to height, as the length and width appear to be nearly identical.

My Mustang collection now consist of 17 models, and there isn't much out there now that I still want. (Trax makes RHD 2016 Mustang, but it is too expensive for what it is).
