Nice comparison, differences are few and they almost look like identical castings.

Saw a new 1:1 Mondeo today. It's massive and I would guess now the size of the old Granadas.

I think in both cases it's the dark blue which is setting the models off. Silver details are lost on the white.
However, Spark and AutoArt win !

David

I think the blue IXO shows a lot of value.

I like all those models and the difference in quality is not as evident as it could be given the prices.

Ford Sierra RS Cosworth Trio

ImageSierra RS Cosworth Trio by Michael, on Flickr

I now have a model Sierra RS Cosworth in each of the three colors it was offered in. Black (IXO), White (Auto Art) and Moonstone Blue (Vangaurds). I wold stay that over all the Auto Art is the best detailed, but that Vangaurds did the best job on the front end.

Best Wheels goes to Auto Art.

!:43 "Shoebox" Fords: 1949 Station Wagon by Road Champs, 1950 Taxi by American Heritage Models, and 1959 Convertible by Minichamps. I am surprised that there isn't a good '49 Ford Woody on the market. The AHM 1950 Taxi is a disapointment too. I would love to see a good 1949-51 Ford sedan.

Don't know if this is good enough

An old Motor City USA model, maybe you can find a good used one - last year a found the Police version from an Australian hobby shop off eBay for 115.00 AUD.

The Norev one looks pretty good. I am waiting for someone to do a QV version (in white) so I can add one fir the "cars I have owned" thread.

To be fair, the Solido is a 1976 casting that has been updated. This is a comparison with the Solido I bought around 1978

Though it's the fast Gordini version, the basic body shape of this Ixo PW should be the same

The silver PW is a 1.6 with different wheels, but the proportions should be the same. MC is the only one who got it right.

Rear end is sort of OK, front end is badly off IMO.
