Douglas,
Am really liking this thread and really appreciate seeing the striking Lancia Stratos models. What an aggressive looking car - successful too.

Here are some quick pics of mine still in their display cases with their labels.

Amazing cars those Group B's.

The yellow Peugeot above set the Pikes Peak Hill Climb record in 1988. This picture of Pikes Peak was taken this Easter Morning
in Castle Rock, Colorado - Spectacular. They don't run to 14,114 feet (4,302 m) in snow though.
A WOW pic for me as I was thinking about this post and needing a pic for it. Pure serendipity.

And just for fun - Booze. I wonder when this will be banned?

Hot, and then some

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

I dream about having this one in my collection. If I were to buy a MakeUp Vision model, this one would be my first choice.

Both nice models with decals properly applied. ;)

The Marlboro decal on the side doors must have been tricky. The Rothmans is one I have yet to apply on a FW14, did you have to remove any "Racing" decals prior to applying the Rothmans decals?

Lol... Strange coincidence looking at this post exactly one day after receiving at home my first MakeUp. And it's not a Porsche 962, but a Ferrari F40 LM.

There weren't any "Racing" decals; the model originally looked like this:

If I remember correctly, I bought the McLaren from another Forum member with the "Marlboro" livery as you see it now.

Did you have to remove the small rectangles? Or did you apply a background plain color on top of them?

Sorry, I should have said that the decals had blue or white opaque backgrounds (i.e., not clear) that covered the rectangles and stripes. No painting required.
