You know why Italians speak with their hands? Because they have to work a lot on their engines.

I used to have this model. Seeing your photos makes me wish I kept it. ;)

The model is of the car raced at the 1972 Fuji Masters 250km. Here is some info I found about it:

One of the greatest rivalries from the heyday of Japanese motorsports was that of Nissan versus Mazda. After the Savanna RX-3 snatched Nissan’s much anticipated 50th victory from the Skyline GT-R in December 1971, a blood feud was born. The following year that fight grew even more heated, with roaring rotaries and fierce Hakosukas duking it out throughout the 1972 season.

Katayama was expected to fight for victory in the 1972 Fuji Masters 250km after winning the Japan GP earlier in the year. He qualified 3rd, breaking the 2 minute barrier for passenger cars at Fuji (along with 2 other Mazdas). He did lead the race early on but dropped out due to ignition trouble.

Simple but effective. I wish I'd grabbed the RX-3 Le Mans car released by Bizarre 10 years ago.

My preference is the '75 car Lars as the '74 car didn't make the cut in qualifying and it failed to start the race.
