Aussie V8 Supercar - Code3 conversion, Holdsworth Commodore 2017

Post by MarkWicks » Sun Apr 15, 2018 5:30 am

It's been a while since I've posted here, and some time since I completed a 1:43 scale conversion / Code 3.

This one started as a Biante plain white Holden VF Commodore Supercar issue and converted to Lee Holdsworth's 2017 race car.

For those who might be interested, I've posted a step-by-step 'how-to' Build Diary on my blog here >> http://www.wixy500.com/build-diary-lee- ... 17-code-3/

Very nice job Mark, but its a shame you had to resort to a Code3 rather than Biante producing this themselves. I wonder what the future direction of the company will look like under the new ownership.

Don't know how it looked before, but now that looks ice cool.

You know why Italians speak with their hands? Because they have to work a lot on their engines.

Started like this (there is a link in the original post that shows photos of the full conversion from plain body to race car)

New ownership? Or new management? Biante has been doing some good 1:43 ATCC models the past few years, let's hope that continues.

Apex Replicas had the licence for the Preston Hire team last year, so Biante could not have done this model anyway (still, a pity Apex didn't do a 43rd version).

Very cool looking conversion. I like Lee as a driver and he's doing not too bad this year.
