What colour did you use to paint the Alfa?

Thanks guys.
The Alfa was sprayed with Tamiya X-7 i believe but i can't take the credit for spraying it as it wasn't me. I only built it and applied the decals

Thanks for making the Alfa for me Matt, it looks great but it's just ashame that the Royal Mail didn't take he same amount of care over it as you did.
You are also correct with regards to the paint colour, it was the Tamiya red paint X7, according to the sheet you could also use Testor paint 2719 (Fiat Red 130)
The Audi looks great, looking forward to making one sometime in the future.

Re: JasonPotato's touring car collection
No problem at all, pleasure making the model for you. Just need one for my collection now
With some more Muller decals, the correct window decal, names and the number 7s with backings all included in the 1997 Audi BBR sheet am i right in thinking with some cutting you could make the 1998 Bintcliffe car? I think it's possible and no reason why it couldn't look as good. Only thing i'm not 100% about is the font of the number '7' plus getting the cross on the windowshield on to the new one.. Maybe Peter could clarify?

Love the Miller Audi

I'm not addicted to models, an addict admits their problems & I don't have a problem.

The cross on the windsheild was on both cars throughout the 1998 season.JasonPotato wrote:With some more Muller decals, the correct window decal, names and the number 7s with backings all included in the 1997 Audi BBR sheet am i right in thinking with some cutting you could make the 1998 Bintcliffe car? The race number font looks the same as the previous years.

Thanks. That was what I was saying about the cross which as I see it is the only obstacle in making the 98 Bintcliffe car. Not sure how you could transfer it or maybe buy some pinstripe decals.

For the cross you could always use a fine tip Sharpie pen. It's worth trying it out to see if it's gonna work before you do it on the model.

That does look very nice but too far out of my price bracket. I'll just have to make do with looking at yours.

Thanks Schuvo for your kind comments.
Steve, what model would you pay £75 for?
I do agree that it's steep and the most i'm willing to pay for a top notch 1:43.
Getting back to modelling now after my break so expect a few surprises in the upcoming months.

Update time:
Was going to do one big update in a few weeks but have decided to split it into 2 updates as i'm itching to show off a few of my latest purchases
Watts Peugeot 405 BTCC 1994 - Pro built Formule kit

Added some labels to the 1996 Audi set.

A few kits i have lined up to build, plus a few more thanks to Chris

and last but not least the 2009 BTCC works Vectra decals!!!

2nd part of the update will come next week sometime.

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Nice new additions JP, can you tell us where you sourced the 2009 VXR decals as some of us i'm sure would love to do these ourselves and the maker might make some decent cash from a well made set (by the looks of them).

I'd like to know where you got the decals and do them make them to order as I need Andy Jordan's Pirtek Vectra decals for when I do my conversions.Lesopc wrote:Nice new additions JP, can you tell us where you sourced the 2009 VXR decals as some of us i'm sure would love to do these ourselves and the maker might make some decent cash from a well made set (by the looks of them).

Looking at the way they are laid out on the sheet. And there seems to be only one person fanatical about vauxhalls. It can only be one person?!

He's just fanatical about the Vectra isn't he?? Would mind a set as well but I've spend my money on other things now!
Love the Pug, wish I had bid on it now as it's so much better than my home built version. Good luck with those kits and I'll get the others sent soon.
