The 57 is beautiful. The modern bug has what some people might describe as “unconventional beauty”. I would use somewhat less flattering terms.

I always thought the car looked like a misguided Chinese copy of something but is so deranged you can't even tell what it is a poor copy of.
But the model is very well done.

Good addition, David!

One of the rare cases of a convertible looking better than the closed car.
No way Jeff, the Atlantic is uber cool, so cool in fact that the 118 is a desperate attempt to make a modern version. Bit of a fail there but they had a go! AA have done a nice job though, the paint finish looks great - pity they didn't do the 112 - the four door
version seems to hang together better.

This has been on the back burner for ages. Always overlooked for something more exotic or cheaper.

Nice model. My brother-in-law had the 1:1 and loved it....until someone tried to break into the car by cutting through the roof and it cost him $4,000 for a new roof.

The ultimate Yuppie-mobile - still a quality model of a good car.

Strangely, I had a pal who was the manager of a Saab franchise and on a Friday afternnon we would deliver Saabs to folk who lived in the bundu.
The object of the excercise was to go off radar and have a few bevvies (this was before the Breathaliser Taliban). The interesting thing was that we delivered to old dears not the Yuppies as you might think.
This model brings back memories of those days. :D

Thos were my thoughts too. Looks pretty futuristic for 2018, let alone 1972.
