1990 Alfa Romeo Spider

Post by AdamYip » Wed Mar 13, 2019 8:34 am

I've always wanted to get a good 1990 Alfa Spider, but no manufacturer seems to be interested in making one. I've got one made by ARS 20 years ago, but it looks like a toy car and the scale was not right. I was glad to see this Alfa online and ordered it.

Looks good. Is it the recently released Silas model?

It writes "Silas" on the website when I ordered it, but on the model box, there's a "milenarose.com" website written across the front of the box.

Great addition Adam! I've long thought this generation of Alfa Spider was the BEST looking one after many years of somewhat questionable design traits. Very interesting to hear it branded as Milenarose??? That's the same name used by the man in France who makes the wonderful printed diorama backgrounds that several users here have displayed. Learn something new everyday! BB

The ARS version was awful which was areal shame. Your new acquisition is miles better Adam.

I have the ARS in black so it hides the awful shut lines. The Silas, in hardtop guise, will replace it when I can get a "budgie" version, i.e. it's going cheap, cheap!

It's good to see Silas back on the scene although their focus seems to have changed from old Brits to the Continent with this Alfa and a couple of Renaults. Did anyone mention Brexit?

I wanted to get a white one with the hardtop later too when the price drops!
